While students can apply their financial aid towards study abroad as if there were in the USA while abroad, most students find that a bit of extra help is always welcome! While there are quite a few scholarships out there (though MU, the US government and our partners), we would like to highlight the MU Scholarship for Global Engagement.
Students who apply for designated programs can apply for the Scholarship for Global Engagement. The award winner will have his/her tuition costs covered for the semester of study abroad. Scholarship Award Sites:
Spring 2012 – Central America (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Panama)
Fall 2012 – Asia (China, India, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam)
Past Award Sites:
Fall 2011- South Africa (awarded to: Katie H going to Port Elizabeth with CEA)
Fall 2010- Jordan (awarded to: Ashley P going to Amman with CIEE)
